Welcome, our club was first started 10-7-67. Now is back & running since 2007, after 15 years in recess.
We shoot .22 Prone & Benchrest 20m, 50m & 90m, on Wednesday nights at 7pm and on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of each month. We also have a 10m indoor .177 Air Rifle Rang with returning targets.
We now can also Shoot, Black Powder Bench rest.
As well we hold a 2 day Prize Shoot each year, the first weekend in September.
We now have new and improved lighting in the indoor 10m Air Rifle range, as well as new lights on the out door 20m, 50m and if we wanted to carry the lights down to the 90m .22 range. The light now meets the standards for indoor and outdoor night Smallbore.
Smallbore was one of the original sports in the first modern Olympics in 1896, and boasted the largest number of participants. It has been part of the Olympic Games ever since.
The sport of Smallbore (.22 Rifle) and Air Rifle (.177) target shooting is one of the most popular sports around the world,. It is enjoyed by millions of people, men and women of all ages, able bodied and disabled.
As well as being an Olympic sport, like many other sports, most people do it for fun. Some are simply, "social shooters" and will compete at whatever level they feel comfortable.
